Beach City Baby
Beach City Baby is a Douglas C-53 being restored at Beach City Airport in Ohio. This dedicated band of volunteers is lovingly restoring this old veteran back to airworthy condition. She was still on the production line when Pearl Harbor was attacked. After entering service she served in many roles as a transport for both troops and VIPs. She is an Operation Torch Veteran and served in both Europe and the Pacific.
Jason Capra and his crew of volunteers have dedicated themselves to restoring her back to her Operation Torch livery. Once she is ready to ferry it will be flown to it's new home at Washington County Airport in Pennsylvania.
Like any non profit organization they need support. In order to return her to the skies as a flying museum and educational piece they need financial support and sponsors. Please visit their website for more information.
